Background:
Adnan has been cycling competitively for nearly 20 years. Having started in mountain bike racing, he
soon expanded his repertoire to include road racing, cyclocross and some track as well. Adnan's experience
includes a season on the road in Europe as well as State Championship titles in both the mountain bike
cross-country and road individual and team time trial disciplines. His most recent racing endeavors
have been the TransRockies and Tour TransAlp stage races. He has coached his athletes to everything
from personal bests to State Championships.
Coaching Philosophy:
I believe that in sport, as in life, it is important to strike a balance between the various aspects
of what one does. Like many people that work normal business hours in an office, I find that it is
difficult to achieve maximum results from limited training and recovery time. An eight-hour ride will
not be of any benefit without the proper rest and recovery one’s body needs. Training for cycling takes
time, but it need not take all of one’s time. A holistic approach to life is the key to maximizing
performance on the bike. My training philosophy revolves around this approach, allowing individuals
to reach their sporting goals without unbalancing their lives as a whole.
Good coaching can make the difference between balanced, precision workouts and recovery and
inconsistent training and constant fatigue. Together we can find that balance and maximize your
performance!
Client Testimonials:
Adnan went the extra kilometer for me. I tried and failed to complete the Everest Challenge 3 years ago. As a
53 year-old average guy it was a task that I thought might be too much to accomplish. With his coaching I
completed the 2 days, 200 miles, and 29,000 ft of elevation with energy to spare. He took in to account all
the factors and guided me through the months of training. He was able to adjust the training to my very
complicated work and family schedule. Every time I needed consultation, he responded very quickly. He was
also an excellent source of information regarding equipment and nutrition. He is an excellent coach and is
highly recommended.

Adnan has had a tremendous impact on my racing performance. I feel extremely confident placing
my training in his hands. I have raced mountain bikes for a few years but only last year with
Adnan did I experience real training. Before Adnan began to coach me I would ride as hard and as
much as possible. Now he tailors my training schedule around my hectic work life. In 2006 through
Adnan's coaching I won two mountain bike series championship titles. Each time I placed my wheel
on the start line I did so with a new found confidence. This season I have upgraded to Pro and
now race for Maverick - none of which would have been possible with out Adnan's efforts as a
truly committed, experienced and knowledgeable coach.
