Coaching Philosophy:

Being an experienced athlete and coach, primarily within multisport events, I understand the needs of the triathlete from sprint distance to Ironman. The everyday balance of life as well as the three sports is crucial to enabling the multisport athlete to reach their goals. Whether you are looking to finish your first sprint triathlon, become an Ironman or qualify for world championships, I can help you get there! In multisport events no stone can be left unturned and race day preparation doesn’t just include having the race fitness. To fully succeed in multisport races it is the important blend of fitness, confidence, nutrition and race-day strategy.

Personal Highlights include:

  • Ironman Distance – 9hrs 56mins (IM Louisville, 2009)
  • 70.3m Distance – 4hrs 15mins (Kinetic Half, 2010)
  • Half Marathon – 1hr 16mins (B&A Trail Half Marathon, 2010)
  • Marathon – 2hrs 40mins (National Marathon, 2009)
  • 10km – 34mins 52secs (2009)
  • 40km Time Trial – 56mins 55secs (Carlisle, 2010)

Client Testimonials:

"After competing in triathlons for 8 years, I thought it was the right time to sign up for 2010 Louisville Ironman. Although I had experience, I wasn't sure of the right way to train for this long distance race. Iain helped prepare me for the race, physically, mentally, and with my nutrition. As a result of his coaching, I had a great experience during the race and finished under my goal time. Thanks Iain for preparing me so well!"

-Lindsey Ward, Ironman Athlete

"I’ve been competing in triathlons for 10 years in distances from sprint to half-ironman. I also have a degree in exercise physiology. Nonetheless, when I was preparing to take the plunge into Ironman Coeur d’Alene, I knew I needed some coaching from someone with experience at that distance. Iain was the perfect choice for me. He’s raced that distance a number of times and brings a great deal of experience to the table. In addition, I felt he left no stone unturned. From training to nutrition to race travel he was there to dial me in and focus me on the prize. I went there with peace of mind knowing I was prepared for the day. I recommend him without hesitation. In fact he’s coaching my wife for Ironman Lake Placid 2011. Thanks Iain…you got me to the line."

-Spencer Seibert, Ironman Athlete
