Background:
Welcome to my bio page, let me tell you a little about myself. We live at the foot of the Blue Ridge
Mountains, and I have spent my life cycling, hiking and climbing here. After graduating first in
my class from the AMTA accredited Virginia School of Massage in 2000, I became a Certified
Massage Therapist and now concentrate much of my practice on Sports Massage and Neuromuscular
Therapy. I compete in a wide variety of sports beyond cycling including track and field and have
been State Champion in summer biathlon. My greatest joy is to be out climbing in the New River
Gorge, and have introduced over 100 students to the experience of rock climbing.
I believe very strongly in creating a training program that suits the individual, both their
athletic goals, and the greater framework of their life as a whole. I have been involved with
power training and power devices for the last decade, and believe they are a benefit for every
serious cyclist. Much of the last decade it has been my privilege to be at professional cycling
events here in the US, and also in Europe as a team soigneur and massage therapist or sometimes
team mechanic with a variety of teams including the US National Cycling Team, Jelly Belly Pro
Cycling, VMG Olympic Development Team, and Navigator's Pro Cycling. I served as team director for
the first season of TEAm Lipton Women's Pro Cycling, and have been guest director with
Advil-Chapstick Women's Pro Cycling. It has been my pleasure to work with athletes from all
over the world, including Olympians from many nations, World Champions, National Champions, and
medalists from World's, Pan American and National Championships.
We are here to serve your individual goals and needs, whether that be a training camp in the
beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, a power based training plan, or as a coaching client.
I look forward to the opportunity of working with you.
