Cycling Training Camp
Gerona Spain
February 26th - March 6th
Train in the same area as the leading European and American European-based Professionals!
This year, there will be new and exciting training camp
opportunities held in the beautiful and varied terrain and warm winter climate of Gerona on the Mediterranean Coastline of Spain. Work on those winter base miles on European roads and receive valuable training advice under the supervision of PCG staff. We offer training opportunities in the mountains, the rolling coastal roads on the Mediterranean and the flat inland terrain around Gerona, terrain to build-up and challenge any of our cyclists.
The first Spanish Camp will cater to the intermediate cyclist and racer. This camp will be for those riders, just getting into racing or riders who have only raced a year, or Category 4 or 5 racers. This Camp will emphasize bike handling skills, pace-lining skills, medium distance rides (longest will be about 60-70 miles), and not quite as blistering a pace as the second Spanish Camp.
Dates for this camp are
scheduled for Saturday, February 26th, 2005 through Sunday,
March 6th, 2005 (9 days).
The second Spanish Camp will cater to the intermediate/advanced cyclist and racer who have been competing for 1 year or more, and/or are a Category 4 or higher. This camp will emphasize more advanced skills, longer distance rides (two days will be over 100miles with Mountain passes), faster paced rides and more intense workouts than the first Spanish Camp.
Dates for this camp are open pending participation and interest. We can accommodate you! Contact us for more info!
Both Camps will cover these topics:
Climbing and Descending Techniques, Sprinting Skills, Pace-lining Techniques, Pre-Race Routine, Stretching Benefits and Routines, Mental Training Techniques and Good Nutrition and its inherent benefits.
