Beth Leasure, with many years of racing experience including time spent on French and Dutch teams, continues to race with goals to stay fit and sharp in order to demonstrate what she teaches her athletes. She is the current Masters National Criterium Champion. She is one of a few distinguished as Power-Based Training Certified Coaches by USA Cycling. She also holds certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Power Pilates, and practices yoga. She has a degree from The American University’s prestigious School of International Service in International Relations and a certificate for Biblical Studies from Davis College.
Beth is especially interested in elite amateur to neo-pro development and believes in strong leadership, calling herself a Benevolent Dictator in order to lead her riders to be valiant in character as well. Her history of success nurturing and directing U26 riders to careers as young professionals emphasizes taking the physiology of exercise science and applying it as a masterful art form to the emotional, spiritual and tactical athlete. From Beth’s experiences of loss and lack, she learned that emotional support and how to get it were one of the big challenges facing a dedicated athlete. Beth’s approach recognizes and addresses the key elements of the total athlete: body, mind, and spirit - as part of a total training program – that strives for victorious living and racing! Her goal with every athlete is for them to feel loved and respected while being challenged toward full potential. Her integrated craftsmanship has led to multiple victories and podium appearances for her riders, whose skills from her drilling and sideline support have outwitted often stronger more experienced competitors.
She has worked with several amateur and pro men’s teams as both Coach and Director.
