Power in Action
Have you ever wondered how much power the pros are generating when you see them flying around a race course? Have you ever wondered how it compares to the power that you can generate on your bike?
Now you have the chance to get a peek into what it takes to be competitive in a professional bike race. Peaks associate coach Erik Saunders, riding this year for the McGuire-Langdale cycling team, will be racing with an Ergomo, bottom bracket, power meter installed on his racing machine. The Ergomo will allow us to see the speed and power required to race at the highest levels in the U.S.
Erik's race diaries are below. Just click on the CyclingPeaks Power image at the top of each diary entry to download the file. To view the power files, you will need to download a trial copy of CyclingPeaks software.

Erik's stats are:
- Age: 30
- Height: 5'10"
- Weight: 175 lbs
