Using Your Power Data to Plan the Perfect 2013 Season for Athletes and Coaches

Join Hunter Allen and Peaks Coaching Group for this exciting fall training cycling camp in beautiful Solvang, California.  This cycling camp is designed to teach coaches and athletes how to use their power data to plan the perfect 2013 season.  Hunter and his team will teach you how to identify your strengths and weaknesses, how to develop a periodization plan and improve results of each phase of your training.  Each athlete will go through an in depth analysis in an effort to better understand their baseline abilities and then use this information, along with their power data to improve their training plan for 2012.

During this five day cycling camp you will experience Solvang, a European-style town known for Danish heritage and charm. The rolling hills of the Santa Ynez Valley are a huge draw for cyclists and Solvang has participated as a staging site in the Tour de California for three years running. Professional teams and casual cyclists alike visit Solvang for an exhilarating and scenic biking experience.

We will only be accepting 15 coaches/athletes, so sign up and reserve your spot today.  For USAC and USAT certified coaches this camp is worth 20 CEU (USAC) and 15 CEU (USAT) towards the maintenance of your coaching certification.

Payment Information:
The fee for the cycling camp, lodging, all meals, and snacks is $1995. (additional $295 for single occupancy). 
This includes five nights lodging, 5 buffet breakfasts,  5 lunches, and 5 spectacular dinners. 
Alumni discount $1895.00 (additional $295. single occupancy)
Day Cycling Campers Welcome: $175.00 per day

A $500 deposit is due at time of registration ($100 deposit for single day attendee). This deposit is refundable up to 45 days prior to camp, minus a 10% administrative fee. You will be issued a final invoice 28 days before the commencement of your cycling camp; final payment is due 21 days before the commencement of your cycling camp and all such payments are final, non-refundable and non-applicable. The Peaks Coaching Group recommends travel insurance in case of emergency cancellation.

Day One: Monday, Nov 5th

  • 8:00 am – Buffet Breakfast
  • 9:00 am – Seminar: Training w/ Power Intro
  • 11:00 am – Winery Valley Ride & Drills
  • 4:00 pm – Coaches Corner
  • 5:00 pm – Yoga & Massage
  • 6:30 pm - Dinner at local restaurant


Day Two: Tuesday, Nov 6th 

  • 8:00 am – Buffet Breakfast
  • 9:00 am – Seminar: Goal Setting , Diagnosis & Prescription                         
  • 11:00 am – Figueroa Mountain Climb Day
  • 4:00 pm – Coaches Corner
  • 5:00 pm – Yoga & Massage

Day Three: Wednesday, Nov 7th

Target Athlete:
This will be an intermediate to advanced cycling camp for the competitive  rec riders and racers who are capable of riding for 3 hours or more. We highly recommend bringing your power meter and laptop to get the most out of cycling camp but it is not mandatory.  Rides will be 60 + miles each day,  with shorter options if needed.

Weather:
The weather in Solvang California in November has an average temperature of 55 degrees; low morning temperatures average 45 degrees with afternoons getting up to 65 degrees. Bring a range of clothing to be prepared for cooler temperatures. (rain gear and warm layers will ensure a warm week)!
