Looking for a Spring Cyling Camp to really challenge yourself, get in some great base miles, and learn power from the “guy who wrote the book”, Hunter Allen ...well here is the cycling camp for YOU! Join Hunter Allen and his team of State and National Champion Cycling Coaches and put yourself to the test. In addition to all the great coaching, sag and daily events this cycling camp includes all lunches, snacks, recovery drinks and group dinners.
The goal of this cycling camp is to focus on improving your ride skills and techniques as well as race tactics and strategy. The beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains is the perfect place for a spring cycling camp...awesome climbing opportunities, quiet country roads for race scenarios, and it’s the hometown for the Peaks Coaching Group Headquarters. This is the perfect opportunity for you to spend several days in the gorgeous mountains of Virginia improving your skills. Not only will you get daily on the road coaching from Hunter and his team but you will get after ride power analysis and basic and advance power training that will help your training all season long.

$1495 Double Occupancy, single occupancy upgrade $265.00
*Alumni Cycling Campers $100 discount.
Day Cycling Campers welcome: $175.00 per day
A $500 deposit is due at time of registration ($100 deposit for single day attendee). This deposit is non-refundable and non-applicable to other services. You will be issued a final invoice 28 days before the commencement of your cycling camp; final payment is due 21 days before the commencement of your cycling camp and all such payments are final, non-refundable and non-applicable. The Peaks Coaching Group recommends travel insurance in case of emergency cancellation.
Cycling Camp Schedule:
Each morning we will meet at the Peaks Corporate Headquarters.
Day Arrival: Sunday, April 21
- 1:00pm - 3:00pm - Welcome and Registration
- 3:30pm - Ride: Warm-Up (30 miles) and Basic bike handling
- 6:00pm - Welcome BBQ at Peaks
- 6:30pm - Meet the Coaches and Athletes, Safety Talk
- 7:00pm - Introduction to Power
Day One: Monday, April 22
- 7:00am - 8:00am - Breakfast at Hotel
- 8:30am - Morning Demo: Proper bike position
- 8:30am - Guru Bike Demo
- 9:00am - Big Island Loop (45 miles)- Group ride with 1 and 5 minute tests and pace line
- Lunch - back at Headquarters
- 2:45pm - Hunter Allen Group Power File Review
- 3:00pm - 6:30pm - Yoga, Recovery Drinks, Power file reviews, massage by appointment
- 7:00pm - Dinner at Olde Liberty Station
Day Two: Tuesday, April 23
- 7:00am - 8:00am - Breakfast at Hotel
- 8:30am - Morning Demo: Pacing with Power
- 10:00am - Thunder Ridge Power Climb (55 miles) "Race" 60 min TT- with swag prizes! Plus drills, handling, and descending
- Lunch - back at Headquarters
- 2:45pm - Hunter Allen Group Power File Review
- 3:00pm - 6:00pm - Yoga, Recovery Drinks, Power file reviews, massage by appointment
- 6:10pm -Video Review of athlete position on climb
- 7:00pm - Dinner at El Cazador
Day Three: Wednesday, April 24
7:00am - 8:00am - Breakfast at Hotel
- 8:30am - Morning Demo: Sprint technique and position
- 10:00am - Sprint and Race Scenario Day (30 miles)- This is a favorite of many past campers! Learn about great sprint position, then try and beat your buddy! Plus have fun with "team" race scenarios; learn about strategy and how to work together to win!
- Lunch - back at Headquarters
- 2:45pm - Hunter Allen Group Power File Review
- 3:00pm - 6:00pm - Yoga, Recovery Drinks, Power file reviews, massage by appointment
- 6:10pm - Video review of athlete sprint position
- 7:00pm - Dinner at Ruby Tuesday
Day Four: Thursday, April 25
- 7:00am - 8:00am - Breakfast at Hotel
- 8:30am - Morning Demo: course overview and long day strategy
- 8:45am - "B" Group Start
- 9:15am - "A" Group Start- Peaks of Otter Long Day and Race (94 miles) - Test your endurance on this one of a kind Race Day; 2 climbs, awesome descents and a 22 mile "race" home.
- Lunch, Recovery Drinks, Yoga - back at Headquarters
- 3:45pm - Hunter Allen Group Power File Review
- 4:00pm - 6:30pm - Power file reviews, massage by appointment
- 7:00pm - Dinner at The Social Club
Day Five: Friday, April 26
- 7:00am - 8:00am - Breakfast Buffet at Hotel
- 8:30am - Morning Demo: Attack and Bridge
- 9:00am - Bedford Loop (45 miles)- Attack and Bridge drills including a fun race home
- Lunch- Back at headquarters
- 3:00pm - Wrap up and head home

Arrival / Departure:
Checking in begins at 1:00pm April 21st . Please make arrangements to arrive between 1:00pm & 3:00pm when possible to facilitate the check in process.
For those traveling via air, please book travel into Roanoke Regional Airport. Peaks Coaching Group will be running complimentary shuttles to and from the airport on (first day & last day). Please supply us with your travel schedule as soon as your travel is confirmed so we can coordinate pick up and drop off.
Bike Transportation:
For those traveling by air you can either chose to ship your bike in advance or take with you in your travels. Our support team will assemble all shipped bikes in advance and be onsite to support those that are traveling with their bike.

Weather:
The weather in Bedford, Virginia in April has an average temperature of 70 degrees; low morning temperatures average 45 degrees with afternoons getting up to 70 degrees. Bring a range of clothing to be prepared for cooler temperatures.
