   For 5 years my main focus was triathlon. As a self coached triathlete I spent 10 to 19 hours per week doing primarily long slow distance. After my last Ironman race I decided to focus on cycling only, it was always my favorite of the 3 disciplines. I bought all the usual cycling training books; I created a training plan using the charts and formulas I read about in the books. I joined a local team and held on for dear life just trying to keep up on team rides. I loved riding my bike but I knew I needed some help.

   Enter Marlon A.K.A "My Secret Weapon". Marlon has gone above and beyond any of my ideas of what I was expecting from a personal coach. I really thought I was going to get my weekly workouts e-mailed to me and we would touch base when needed. Wrong. He spent hours working with me on my strength and flexibility program in the early season. I had lower back pain every morning. Marlon developed a program to build up my core strength. I have been pain free ever since.

   Marlon's weekly workouts are written specifically for my needs and goals. I send Marlon my Cycling Peaks Files he analyzes them and updates my program as needed. I feel one of Marlon's greatest assets is the ability to ask the questions I would have never thought about asking myself and using this "mental data" as well when working on my schedule.

   From basic endurance rides to Vo2 max workouts Marlon always ads different drills to keep each day's training different and exciting.

   The numbers: in September my 20 minute LT was about 195 watts. After only 6 months and a lot of hard work my 20 minute LT is now 256! You do the math.
