I am a triathlete who, after 5 years of designing my own training schedule, decided to ask Adnan to help me improve my bike split. At first I thought he was nuts. His approach was vastly different from what I had been doing on my own. I decided to trust him and was rewarded for it with improved speed, bike handling skills, confidence and power.
Adnan has over 20 years of experience as a rider and it shows not only in the training plans he writes, but in the way he rides. He also has a perspective on training that is extremely life-centered, and not just sport-centered. It is this approach--making sure I get the time in I need on the bike, in the pool, and in my running shoes as well as making sure I schedule adequate time for rest, family, and friends--in the face of someone who is such a strong athlete himself, that sets Adnan apart. Adnan is a great coach first and foremost because of his absolute love for the sport. He is also a great coach because of his vast racing experience and his personal commitment to riding and health. He writes kick ass workouts, he's available for me when I have questions, he's incredibly supportive and insightful, and last but certainly not least, he also has a great sense of humor which can go a long way after a long, hard workout. My bike leg is now my strongest leg and I owe that to what I have learned from Adnan. I'm looking forward to another great season!
