Before Adam started coaching me, I was a cat. 4 and Junior. My time trialing was weak and my endurance to get to the line was hurting too. I started working with him in November and with in a month I was already seeing results. I was developing a strong base fitness and also working on my lactate threshold. He also had me in the gym working on my core strength and developing power for the sprints. My first races went well. I got 2nd in the 11 mile time trial, and got 7th the next day in the crit. That was much better than my previous best finish of 22nd the year before.
We had set aside three goals for the 2004 season. 1) Upgrade to cat. 3 2) Qualify for LAJORS camp 3) Go to Juniors Nationals. I met every goal and Adam played a signifigant role in helping me achieve these goals. Buy giving my structure to my workouts and planing for these goals, I was able to meet these goals by the end of the Spring season.
I have had numerous top 10 results. My biggest improvement was that I have added 2 mph to my 16K time trial. Thanks Adam for everything you have done and hope that it has been as fun for you as it has been for me. I hope that you coach me well into the future and that the progression doesn't stop.
Thanks,
Chase Fullerton
