Last year was my first year on the bike. I got lapped twice at my first C race at Wells Ave. I had to walk my bike up the summit of Mt. Wachusett for the first century ride I attempted and, even then, I was could only complete the first 50 of the 100 miles. Last fall, I decided if I was going to be good at this, I needed to work smarter and well as harder and I hired Margaret Kadlick for coaching. Margaret's winter periodization class put me in great shape for spring endurance training and the season as a whole. With her help this season, I was able to do a 250 mile Brevet in less than 16 hrs, I achieved my goal of completing a century in less than 5 hours, I've held my own at the races I've entered and I was able to climb Mt. Wachusett in 11:20. I've worked hard for these things but thanks to Margaret I've worked smarter as well. Thank you Margaret.
