2025 CHILE WINTER TRAINING VACATION CAMP

Chile Training Vacation Camp

Base miles and sun in Chile !

       Pucón, Chile

            January 18-25, 2025

BOOK TODAY

"One of the finest things about being a cyclist is that you get to travel the world, pedal your bike and see places that most normal people only dream about...."

--

PCG Founder and Master Coach Hunter Allen

The goal of this cycling vacation camp is to travel to Pucón, Chile for a week of riding during the summer (southern hemisphere!)  put in some base miles, see the amazing sights of the famed "lakes and volcanoes" district of Chile and eat. Eat. Great. Chilean. Food.

We stay at beautiful small and upscale boutique hotels and lodges along the way, where you get to relax after our day's ride or our tourist activities. We put some great endurance and tempo miles this week, but not so much that we are too tired for some fun tourism in the afternoons.   Chile is a perfect escape to the winter in the USA and Europe and it's a safe and fun place to visit. The smoothly paved roads are quiet, and the drivers are polite and respectful.   Escaping winter in late January is also the perfect time to visit as you will be able to put in some great miles and solidify your winter training without having to bundle up in winter gear!

It's often stated by attendees at PCG Camps that the "brochure" can't even come close to describing the value that is attained. But let's try anyway! There's WKO power file analysis and season preparation by the master himself, our founder, Hunter Allen. There are stories from Hunter's many, many years in the industry and as a professional cyclist. There's SAG support, amazing A, B and C Road Groups for different levels, coaching by Hunter, on-staff bike mechanics, incredible food and more......

There's just so much!

This will be a small camp and we only have spots for 14 campers as the boutique lodges and hotels just don't have more rooms!  This camp will sell out, so if you want to go, then make a deposit to secure your spot!   Hunter will be our only coach on this trip, so you'll enjoy plenty of coaching and personal attention. You will learn the basics of training with power and for those of you that have been using a power meter for a while, this is a chance to ask all the advanced questions of the coach that invented the principles of power training.

  • Testimonials

"I have been on two different vacation training camps with Hunter and Peaks Coaching Group in two different continents!  They have been outstanding !    Hunter and his team think of everything and always have the right balance of riding spectacular routes and then doing fun tourist stuff.  In Iceland, we got to see some off-the-beaten-path waterfalls and geysers and even hiked up into a volcano!   Great food and accomodations are the norm.  5 stars. Highly recommend!  - Tom S.

"Had a great time with Hunter, and his team of coaches.  This is my 4th camp with him and they are always so well organized, fun and just a great week of riding and vacationing.  I love going on active vacations and I always get in enough miles and training that I know I am improving, along with enjoying the rest of the activities.

I know my FTP has gone up to the next level in just  7 days!

    Thank you SO MUCH!!

I will be back next year for sure."

    -Shelly P.

"How in the world do you cram in  such much fun in one day?  Pedaling, eating, sightseeing, relaxing, hot tubs, hiking, power data analysis, and the list goes on.  The Tenerife Camp was a blast!   I wish everyone could see just how much fun these training camp/vacations are!"

ALLEN

Owner and Founder

Legendary cycling coach, co-author of Training and Racing with a Power Meter and Cutting-Edge Cycling, co-developer of TrainingPeaks, WKO+ software, and founder of Peaks Coaching Group.

Widely known as one of the top experts in the world in coaching endurance athletes using power meters, Hunter Allen's goal has always been to teach athletes how to maximize their training and racing potential through professional analysis of their power data. This goes hand in hand with his philosophy that a power meter helps athletes discover their true strengths and weaknesses, quantitatively assess their training improvements, and refine and maximize the focus of their training.

As a coach, Hunter makes sure to look at each athlete as a whole person. He excels at designing custom programs designed to maximize each rider's potential. He believes we are human beings working closely with other human beings, and it's important to him to work hard to find your strengths and weaknesses and to help you improve your skills, then develop a realistic plan that works for life. It is important that a coach learn as much as he can about you as an athlete and as a person in order to better develop a plan for success. He has now coached over 400 athletes and still learns something new from each one.
