This unique gravel cycling experience will sell out! Reserve your spot today!!

....Sometimes you are going to think you are in Utah with huge canyon views, other times, you’ll think you are in the mountains of the Pyrenees in Spain, and then you’ll remember you are in Northern Africa!!!

Morocco is famous for Moroccan Atlas Mountains. They are covered with lacy cedars and scrubby pines, and the peaks (up to 4,167 meters / 13,671 ft) are covered with snow, even in the warmer months. Truly stunning, the Atlas Mountains have one of the best views from bottom to top. Besides the beautiful nature, cycling the Atlas Mountains is a great way to explore Moroccan mountain villages where dwellers have a minimalistic lifestyle.   Morocco is also famous for their amazingly clear skies and views of the heavens.  Wait till you walk outside at night and just marvel at all the stars....   The desert in Morocco is incredible with all the colors and shades of the artist's color palate.   Did you know that the Atlas Mountains and the Appalachian Mountains are the SAME mountain chain???  Yes, it's true!

Moroccan cuisine is one of the most delicious, fragrant, and balanced cuisines out there. It uses a combination of vegetables, meats, spices, and herbs to create dishes that people remember for years!

Marrakech is well-known for its bazaars and shopping.  This is a unique experience that everyone should have and enjoy.  A bustling city, we will visit it before our trip starts as you'll fly into Marrakech and we'll spend a day there (totally not long enough!) to check out a few of the sights before our trip begins.  (You could also stay longer after our trip ends and we can help you arrange accommodations. hint..hint...)

We will camp one evening in the High Atlas Mountains where you'll dine on local cuisine, enjoy the quiet and solitude of the desert and be blown away by the nighttime sky.

We take care of all the details from picking you up at the airport to best in class accommodations, to amazing routes, to (2) follow vehicles and support along the way.   We can even arrange rental gravel bikes for an additional fee.  Just show up in Marrakech and be ready to pedal on the adventure of a lifetime.

Day 2 - Monday - Jan. 23rd - Gran Canaria

While the miles might not seem like much, Tenerife is a mountainous volcano, so there will plenty of climbing.  We shuttle to the top of the mountain for our start today thankfully!  It's a long climb and it would make this a 6 hour day if we didn't!  A beautiful start to the day and after a short descent, you'll be climbing again (for a while...) to a beautiful little town called San Bartolome de Tirajana for a pastry!  We continue our ascent and then blast down the other side on some of the most fun descending of the camp.  All downhill to home (except for the uphills...;-) ).    This is a perfect day 2 and it's about a 4.5 hour ride.    Don't worry, you'll be back in time for an excellent dinner!  So much food!!!  Eat up.

The Ride:

40 miles

4505' ft. of climbing

65% road /35% gravel

Want to ride some more?

If any rider wants to add some miles, we can go for an extra ride once we finish, or we can adjust, that's easy to do.

Big Day!!! - THE most amazing descent ever.

Day 3 - Tuesday - Jan. 24th - Gran Canaria

It's a big day. Be prepared for a solid 6hours on the bike today. We shuttle to the start, which is about halfway up a 4-hour climb, so you'll only have to do the last 2 hours.  Be sure to eat along the way today!   We ride some of the nicest pavement of the week on our way to Tejada where we stop for more pastries and coffee.  Then we are off to the west coast which includes the most amazing 2 hour descent ever on a gravel bike. It goes down this jeep road that goes forever and ever with breathtaking views off to your right.  On a clear day, you can see Tenerife from here.  Once off the gravel descent, more amazing, paved descending awaits and then a hilly ride to the hotel where you'll enjoy a wonderful dinner and downtime.

The Ride:
45 miles

7917' ft. of climbing

65% road / 25% gravel

Want to ride some more?  You won't. This is a big day.

Hunter Allen

Founder and Owner

Legendary cycling coach, co-author of "Training and Racing with a Power Meter" and "Cutting-Edge Cycling", and "Triathlon Training with Power", co-developer of TrainingPeaks' WKO+ software, and founder of Peaks Coaching Group.

Widely known as one of the top experts in the world in coaching endurance athletes using power meters, Hunter Allen's goal has always been to teach athletes how to maximize their training and racing potential through professional analysis of their power data. This goes hand in hand with his philosophy that a power meter helps athletes discover their true strengths and weaknesses, quantitatively assess their training improvements, and refine and maximize the focus of their training.

As a coach, Hunter makes sure to look at each athlete as a whole person. He excels at designing custom programs designed to maximize each rider's potential. He believes we are human beings working closely with other human beings, and it's important to him to work hard to find your strengths and weaknesses and to help you improve your skills, then develop a realistic plan that works for life. It is important that a coach learn as much as he can about you as an athlete and as a person in order to better develop a plan for success. He has now coached over 700 athletes and still learns something new from each one.
