2026 Masters (60+) Blue Ridge Fall Power Road Camp
Increase your Longevity and Vitality workshops along with amazing training and riding each day.
Oct. 13-17, 2026

"Let's continue to make you faster and stronger."
-- Hunter
This camp is for 60+ "Master" athletes only. Just because you are over 60 doesn't mean you can't improve and feel stronger!
This camp is for you Masters!
We will focus on the key things that you need in order to continue improving and recovering quickly.
This camp won't be with a bunch of "20-something racers", it will be with riders your age, your speed and with your recovery powers! And....We will have 60+ year old coaches to work with you as well!
The "brochure" can't even come close to describing all that happens at a PCG Camp. But let's try anyway! There's WKO5 analysis and season preparation by the master himself. There's daily rides where skills like sprinting, counter-steering, descending(!) and pacelining are taught and practiced. There's on-the-road race scenarios where teams battle it out for all the glory. There are stories from Hunter's many, many years in the industry and as a professional cyclist. There's SAG support, amazing A, B and C Road Groups for different levels, massages, yoga, stretching, on-staff bike mechanics, incredible food, bike fits, rider video analysis... There's just so much!
The goal of this amazing Master camp is to focus on improving your overall fitness, learning what it takes to continue to improve as you age, have fun, ride with others your own age and learn! You will hone your ride skills and techniques and even some race tactics and strategy--while accurately developing your power profile in WKO and setting up for your 2026 season according to your goals! The beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains are the perfect place for a fall cycling camp with awesome climbing opportunities, quiet country roads for race scenarios, and it’s the hometown for the Peaks Coaching Group Headquarters!

The White Mailbox that Changed Cycling Forever
Just as the small, innocuous supermarket on the road up to the Col de la Madone became the "official" starting point for so many professional cyclists to test themselves against the best, the White Mailbox in the Blue Ridge Mountains is the official starting point for so many of Hunter Allen's industry-smashing testing protocols.
It's a place of history, where Olympians, National- and World-Champions routinely visit to test themselves; both against themselves--and past champions. (The latest just stood on the podium at ITU's Worlds in Lausanne, Switzerland.)
It's the mail box that helped to define an entirely new science of training and racing that has been called the single most-influential development in cycling in the past 20 years.
Campers will get to know the White Mailbox very well--since part of this Fall's camp is to define your power profile through Hunter Allen's testing protocols. All in an effort to understand your phenotype and to help set up the training for your 2024 goals.
And at the top of the climb? The Peaks of Otter--first accurately measured by Thomas Jefferson in 1815 and from where the "Peaks" in "TrainingPeaks com" comes from.

Owner and Founder
Legendary cycling coach, co-author of Training and Racing with a Power Meter and Cutting-Edge Cycling , co-developer of TrainingPeaks, WKO+ software, and founder of Peaks Coaching Group.
Widely known as one of the top experts in the world in coaching endurance athletes using power meters, Hunter Allen's goal has always been to teach athletes how to maximize their training and racing potential through professional analysis of their power data. This goes hand in hand with his philosophy that a power meter helps athletes discover their true strengths and weaknesses, quantitatively assess their training improvements, and refine and maximize the focus of their training.

John Baxter
Peaks Coaching Group Elite Coach
I have been coaching at PCG camps now for 3 years and enjoy every minute. It's a pleasure to ride with some incredible athletes, help them improve even more and dial in their training.
Communicating with each other is a critical part of the success. I am an open book of experience, knowledge, and feedback. Sharing what I have experienced and been educated with over the last 30 years, then seeing an athlete reach a new milestone with a smile on their face is what it is all about.
Whether it is Road Racing, Gravel Racing, Mountain Biking, Gran Fondos, or Zwift, John has done it. He will work with you and meet you where you need to be met. He has the passion and experience to help you succeed with your goals at camp and after!

Peaks Coaching Group Elite/Master Coach
I have been riding and racing bikes for most of my life. I got my first bike when I was five, started racing when I was fifteen years old, and fifty-one years later I'm still racing, now as a master athlete. I have mostly focused on road racing, although I have done some mountain biking and have dabbled in track and cyclocross, as well as speed skating and triathlon. One of the things I noticed was that while I wasn’t always the strongest or fastest cyclist, I could often get decent results based on my experience. At the same time cycling coaching began to emerge as an opportunity, so I became a coach to share my lengthy experience with others so they could make faster progress and not have to make all the mistakes I made and learn the hard way as I had to do.
Coaching philosophy
I have noticed several things that are common among most cyclists who seek coaching. First, they tend not to work hard enough on their hard workouts, and then they don’t take it easy enough on the easy days, underestimating the need for recovery. They spend too much time in between and stagnate. Most cyclists also have a life to balance with their training; many of us have families and careers and other interests outside of cycling. It can be challenging to undertake a strenuous training program while balancing our other demands, especially the mental and emotional demands. I live that balance myself, and I enjoy working with other busy people who want to fit in a serious training program and progress while keeping everything in balance.
It is also important to make sure that cycling remains fun and rewarding. Most of us don’t compete for a living. We compete for personal satisfaction and enjoyment. It is essential that no matter how tough a training program is, we keep it enjoyable. I like to think of training and cycling as our way to play as adults. The best way to keep it fun is to see steady improvement and success in competition, and I enjoy helping people accomplish this .
