August 3-4, 2019. Peaks Coaching Group brings to Virginia the pros, coaches, and competitors for an epic 2 day clinic.

Two Day Cyclocross Syllabus 

Advanced
Goal of the group is to refine technique and learn advanced skills 
Intermediate 
Goal of the group is to fully eliminate stutter step and work on existing skills 
Beginner 
Instruction of skills from the ground up 

Staff:
Elite Pro Rider – Floating around between groups 
Great coaches/avid CX Riders working with each group to help demonstrate. 
SCHEDULE

DAY 1 - Saturday

0800 Arrive at venue and finalize set up 
0815-0900 Have everyone sign event waiver and make sure bikes are in working order 
• Remove bottle cages and seat bags 
0845 Start gathering/herding people toward the pavilion for the start 
0900-0945 Introductions 
• Introduction of Leaders and Coaches  
• 30 second intro of Campers
• Overview of the day 
0945-1000 Core and running work 
1000-1045 Dismounts (leg swing, 3 points, pre-unclip vs unclip, handling)  
• Have PRO demonstrate as a group then break out to skill level groups 
• Advanced group works on step thru and non-drive-side and drive-side dismount 
1045-1130 Remounts (walking speed, running speed, full speed). 
• Have PRO demonstrate as a group then break out to skill level groups 
• Advanced group works on non-drive-side and drive-side dismount 
1130-1215 Carrying, Shouldering, and Run ups 
• Have PRO demonstrate as a group then break out to skill level groups 
1215-1245 Eat! 
1245-1315 Group Talk - Tires, brakes, equipment Q&A 
1315-1400 Put it all together; full barrier work as a group 
• Work on how close to get to the barriers to dismount as well as how soon to remount. 
• Work on going thru barriers as pairs 
• Separate into smaller skill groups
1400-1445 Starts 
• Competition/prizes for starts among skill groups and men/women 
1445-1530 Demonstration and practice of drills 
1530-1600 Flex time then Q&A for the day and prep for the next day

DAY 2 - Sunday 

0815-0830 Arrival
0845 Gather at pavilion for the start 
0900-0930 Make sure everyone is at pavilion and go over the day. - Q & A about Day 1 topics 
0930-1200 Cornering and Off Camber work 
• Have 4 different stations set up on 4 sections of the course (have roughly 40 minutes to work on each individual section
• 2 off camber sections 2 cornering sections 
• During this practice we work on sending people thru 2 at a time after they have gone thru it individually 
• Talk about braking/not braking in corners 
1200-1230 Eat! 
1230-1300 Group talk on riding on mud and sand as well as pitting 
1300-1400 Course Evaluation
1400-1540 Mini Races 
• 2 groups racing at one time, one group watching with coaches at different locations 
1540-1600 Q&A and closing
